We approached in awe the sacred place.
With trembling hands and solemn face
We fell in a circle to our knees
Lest we should the ancestors displease.

With lowered eyes we stroked the soil,
Spread through the years by pius toil.
We scraped aside the covering earth;
Of stones and roots there was no dearth.

At last we found the orange rab,
Embedded with stones in patterns ab-
Solutely mysterious, randomly kept.
A platform or pavement which had slept

For thousands of years around the tomb,
Sealing our path to the Earth Mother’s womb.
